Inktober All Stars 2014

One ink drawing per day for 31 days of October. Another successful year! Instead of creating small drawings at home and trapping them in a sketchbook, this time around I drew directly onto art postcards (which I hoard in a box) and freed my original drawings into the world via Facebook post: Each day I'd post my #inktober piece with the directions that the first person to LIKE the drawing, SHARE the drawing and MESSAGE me her address would receive the drawing by mail. 'Tis always better to share than to hoard. Here are some highlights:

Real Artist

To bring my second pile of hand-rolled letterpress postcards - complete with handpainted edges - to Pegasus Bookstore, complete with invoice printed on personalized letterhead, makes me feel like

Real

Artist.

All Along the Bell Tower

Remember when I drew this
Well, I decided to letterpress a postcard from this drawing. I scanned it...
... separated the linework and had a polymer plate made...
... then printed a 4 x 6 postcard on the Vandercook Press at Olive Route Design.
Isn't that linework YUMMY on the cardstock?
Buy these on my Etsy page, or by stopping into the Pegasus Bookstore on Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley, where they're on sale at the register!
